For over a decade, Bill has served the clients of Third Coast Commercial Real Estate as an expert in corporate real estate and tenant representation. He specializes in helping Third Coast’s clients plan and execute their real estate strategies, both in Michigan and across the continental United States. Transactions have typically involved office space, industrial, manufacturing and logistics facilities, and retail.
Bill is the founder of Third Coast and serves as the company’s Principal & Managing Broker. Prior to founding Third Coast, Bill held a number of finance and lending roles in the banking industry, which sparked his passion for corporate & commercial real estate. He is a licensed Michigan real estate Associate Broker and participates in a variety of organizations across metro Detroit.
Highly active in the prestigious Detroit Economic Club, Bill is a Full Member of the Urban Land Institute, where he serves on the Planning Committee for the annual University of Michigan-Urban Land Institute Real Estate Forum; he also serves as an industry expert judge for the Forum’s Case Study Competition held annually at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. Bill is a member of CoreNet Global, an organization dedicated to the advancement and continuing education of corporate real estate professionals.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate from Marylhurst University.

Through his decade of involvement at Third Coast Commercial Real Estate, Walt has exercised his passion for creative problem solving and exceeding client expectations with cost effective and innovative solutions.
Walt has extensive experience in both corporate and municipal finance and has been instrumental in the public sale and private placement of in more than $1 billion dollars of both secured and unsecured corporate debt and equity. He has particular expertise in structured capital markets securities transactions, including the first public offering of corporate mortgage backed bonds; development of the proprietary TARN® Financing Program; execution of highly structured sale-leaseback transactions; and the underwriting of Industrial Revenue Bonds and other municipal securities.
